History

Fayette County Farm Bureau® Foundation was started in 1993 by the Fayette County Farm Bureau® to be able to provide educational opportunities that the Farm Bureau® could not provide. The purposes of the Fayette County Farm Bureau® Foundation are to provide educational opportunity for persons studying agricultural and related fields and to encourage, promote, and fund the design, development, and distribution of educational and instructional materials and programs to provide improved instruction about agriculture and it’s related fields.

The Fayette County Farm Bureau® Foundation has been determined to be a non-profit organization under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3).

2025 Scholarship Recipients

  • Carisen Hunt

    Carisen is a 2025 graduate of Ramsey High School. Carisen plans to attend Lakeland College then transfer on the University of Illinois. She plans to study and become a Veterinarian.

  • Lane Stine

    Lane is a 2025 graduate of St. Elmo High school. Lane plans to go back to the family farm after attaining he degree in Agriculture Systems at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.

  • Lowell Wilhour

    Lowell is a graduate of St. Elmo High School and plans to attend Lakeland College in the fall of 2025. He plans to farm after getting his degree in Agriculture Business at Lakeland College.
